Kenny Summit Houses LA

“Saturday, October 24th, Cedric Gervais and Kenny Summit graced the Avalon stage in LA to a packed house of 3000 screaming house fans.  Cedric Gervais being one of the hottest DJs on the planet right now and Kenny Summit being one of the world’s leading underground DJs, this was a formula for one hell of a party.  Cedric absolutely ROCKED the theater style venue with a combination of pumping basslines, familiar vocals and crowd friendly buildups that sent the Avalon public into a frenzy.

The story of the night, or should i say the DRAMA, came after Cedric’s amazing set.  After Cedric’s set he thanked Avalon for a great night and introduced Kenny Summit.  Much to the surprise of Kenny Summit, the LA fans “bood”, not because Kenny was going to begin his set but because Cedric, the crowd favorite, was finished (or at least that is what I gathered from what I witnessed).

Kenny Summit obviously took this as a challenge and announced to the crowd “Oh, you gonna boo me?  Let me show you mother fuckers how we do things in New York City”  and proceeded to turn the crowd out.  Approximately 20 minutes into his set, Kenny dropped an amazing track with featured the lyrics “Kenny Summit is fuckin killin it”, and from that point on the crowd at Avalon was cheering “Kenny Summit” during the breakdown of every song.

I’ve never seen a DJ turn a crowd around like that in LA.  They either hate you or love you.  Its safe to say LA got served a healthy dose of Kenny Summit and we will all be looking forward to his next visit.”
