Philadelphia, PA -There are no good men left. Being a Christian hinders me
from finding a husband. These are some of the thoughts that many single women are faced with.
Christian author Christine Pembleton dispels such misconceptions in her new book, “Lord, I’m
Ready to Be a Wife” (ISBN 978-0-615-29201-4, $12.99).

“After writing off and on for many years, I felt that now is the time to finally express what’s on my
heart,” Pembleton says. Challenging the conventional attitude that God has set aside marriage only
for select individuals, the book encourages women to be more proactive in their search for a mate
and dares them to examine themselves. Pembleton says that the book “…will encourage you to
take responsibility of yourself and make sure God can trust one of His sons in your care.”
“Lord, I’m Ready to Be a Wife” is an extension of her personal journey from single woman to wife
and mother. Delving into her story in the book, Pembleton notes that a change in mindset had to
occur if she was to be married: “After a few more years of ‘waiting on the Lord’ for my husband to
magically appear, I realized that if I didn’t make being married a priority in my life, it might never
happen.”
Influence also comes from her interaction with women via the Christian Wives Club Show
(www.ChristianWivesClub.com), of which she is founder and host. The internet radio program for
married and single Christian women gives listeners access to a panel of wives who can answer
their questions. The show has experienced significant growth in listenership since its inception in
2008 and airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on BlogTalkRadio.
