SO THE GHOSTS CAN SPEAK!
New York City, NY — Nocia (llc) presents “So the ghosts can speak†a seventeen act play written and directed by Francesca Andre which is followed by several musical guests and dance commemorating Women’s international month. The tales are told from seventeen colorfully diverse perspectives and highlight the most powerful issues that women around the world deal with daily .The event will take place on Sunday March 29, 2009 at 8: 00 p.m. at the Crown Theatre at the Producer’s Club located at 348 West 44 ST, New York, New York.
So the ghosts can speak are stories of stolen innocence told by the ghosts themselves. Seventeen emotionally charged acts of soul-gripping monologues that answer the question, If these Ghosts could speak… what would we hear? What would they say? These are the narratives of women whose spirits have been broken by abuse of the worst kind- sexual, physical, and emotional. We see them in the flesh… lovers, sisters, friends, mothers, neighbors, wives, and co-workers who, through tales of tragedy, personify the strength, courage, and tenacity of a woman. They seek resurrection by reliving the past, because they long to exist in the present. These seventeen ghosts will speak aloud, and as individuals, shine visible as beacons that will lead other lost ghosts to the land of the living. Be there at the Producers’ club Crown Theatre on March 29th to witness the light.

A ghost is one that is unseen, transparent, and invisible to the naked eye. A ghost is the supposed spirit of somebody who has perished or died. In some instances ghosts walk among the living. She can stand before you, but you won’t see her. She can converse with poise and excitement, but her truer words are heavy with sadness and despair. Her smiles will be loud and cheerful, but her cries will be hidden, tearless, and inaudible. She is the unseen, unheard spirit in the flesh. She is a ghost, trapped in the purgatory of her past. And she longs to speak.
